I attended my first yoga class when I was 20 and fell in love, but it wasn’t until years later after suffering a major back injury I realized yoga was going to become a much bigger part of my life. It became an important part of my rehabilitation for my body and mind and I knew I wanted to share my practice with others.
I completed my 300-hour yoga teacher training in 2014 at Source Yoga in Winnipeg with certifications in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin, and soon found my passion with Pre/Postnatal Yoga, continuing my education with the Empowerment Project and obtaining my Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist designation with Fit 4 Two.
Since the birth of my children I have continued my studies with several trainings including my Kids Yoga Teacher Certification, Vinyasa Immersion in Skilful Sequencing at Shala Yoga in Squamish BC, various pre/postnatal fitness and childbirth education courses, advanced teacher training at Yoga Centre Winnipeg and most recently my Infant Massage Instructor Certification.
I have studied music for most of my life starting with piano and vocals and eventually turning my attention to drums and percussion. I am excited to bring my two passions together in my classes with healing sounds from singing bowls, hand pans, and other world percussion instruments to help enhance your practice and find a deeper state of relaxation.
When not on my mat, I can be found spending time in nature, making music, and baking. I live with my husband, two sons and three dogs.
