Community Yoga for the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation

Since 2017, our community has united through yoga to raise over $41,000 for patient care, support, and research for the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Our events have included outdoor community classes in Riding Mountain National Park, Mom & Baby Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Professional Development days for teachers and local businesses, Karma classes in daycares and schools in Winnipeg, and the annual Yoga by the Lake fundraiser.

Like many others, my family has been personally affected by cancer. Through this initiative, I am channeling my passion for yoga and the skills I’ve developed as a teacher to support a worthy cause.

This year I was honoured to have been asked to join the CancerCare Manitoba Ambassador team.  I am excited to work alongside an amazing group of individuals all united in the fight for a common goal.
